Grayson is a striking 1-year-old Mini Heeler with a heart as big as his herding instincts. He came to us from a large-scale breeding situation with over 70 other heelers, so he’s still learning what it means to be part of a smaller pack, and a family.

True to his working-dog roots, Grayson is independent and alert. He loves rolling in the grass, chasing rabbits and quail, and surveying his surroundings like it’s his job (because it is, in his mind!). His expressive face, complete with a brown circle around one eye, is both handsome and intense, and when he locks eyes with you, you’ll feel it in your soul.

Grayson is smart and already knows come, sit, down, and up. With a soft coat, a tail that wags like crazy, and a curiosity about the world, he’s a special boy who’s just waiting for the right person to help him come into his own. He’ll thrive in a home with an enclosed yard and a purpose: Whether that’s herding, agility, or just being your loyal outdoor sidekick.

He’s neutered, vaccinated, and ready to start his new life. Grayson is still working on his confidence around people and other dogs, so he’ll need an adopter who’s patient and willing to keep up the socialization to help him feel secure.
